Cut the patch material even with the barrel
"Short start" the patch and ball into the barrel
Ram the patch and ball down the barrel
Prime the Frizzen pan with primer powder
Aim and fire - hold for steady follow -through
Follow through is important!
Target at 50 yards - good group!
A good rifle should easily group at 2 inches or less!
