Biography

Born December 12, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. My father was a career Army Officer. My "growing up" years were spent living on many different military posts. I eventually joined the Army and spent a 30 year career as an Army Officer. Early assignments were to Vietnam in the 5th Special Forces Group (1965-67) and then back as as aviator flying a Cobra Attack helicopter. Various Infantry assignments followed until I retired in 1987. After retiring from the Army I spent four years teaching in the Columbus, Georgia, public school system. In 1994 I decided to retire "full time" and began a lifelong dream of motorcycle touring. I became a member of the Pancho Villa staff in 1995 and have been leading tours since that time. I have led all of the Pancho Villa tours on at least one occasion. I have a great interest in the culture and history of Mexico! This interest is one I try to pass on to others on Pancho Villa Tours. I believe riding in Mexico is a great adventure when combined with learning about this great country and becoming immersed in its culture. I am now a Senior Vice President for Operations with ROADGEAR INC. I stay very busy during the rally season overseeing the ROADGEAR Rally Operations. My education includes an Undergraduate Degree in Political Science and Graduate Degrees in Psychology and Education. I presently live in Huntsville, Alabama with my wife Carol.
